Our fire-retardant can also be used to treat wood fiber insulation. By impregnating the material, the fire-retardant inhibits oxidation and significantly reduces flammability. While the treatment does not make the insulation completely fireproof, it improves its resistance to fire. Importantly, the treatment does not affect the strength or structural performance of the wood fibre insulation. Furthermore, the fire-retardant is non-hygroscopic, which ensures that it does not absorb moisture

Ecokemi has an environmentally friendly profile. Our biodegradable flame retardant is thoroughly documented to be 100% non-toxic, naturally sourced, and completely free from heavy metals. • Building and construction = EN13501-1 test (SBI-test).

The product can potentially achieve fire class B.
